As a client you agree to our Terms and Conditions, but there is no contract. All service is provided on a month-to-month basis. If you pay for the year, you may cancel and receive a refund for the full months of unused service that you paid for.
Our Basic account works great for most clients. If you have e-commerce applications or special needs then our Business account should provide everything you need. Our Pro account is designed for developers with their own clients.
If you are happy with your domain registrar, there is no need to transfer your domain registration to Clearlight. We can assist you with delegating the name servers to activate your account. However, many clients transfer their domains to Clearlight to have everything “under one roof”, consolidate their hosting bills, and simply their lives.
cPanel email works fine for certain purposes, but is not recommended for primary business email, which is critical for most clients. Spam filtering, blacklists, and limited mailbox space tend to be the biggest issues with cPanel email, and most clients upgrade to our Premium email system for those reasons. Our $3/month 25GB mailboxes do a great job for most business applications.
In most cases, we can assist with transferring your website from your current host to Clearlight at no extra charge.
Your existing messages and folders and be migrated to Clearlight at a one-time cost of $25.
Your website is automatically configured to use LetsEncrypt, so that your URL can use https://. That’s what Google wants to see for your site to rank, and web browsers tend to complain if you don’t have it. If you prefer to use your own SSL certificate, our cPanel allows you to install it yourself. Unlike many hosts, you don’t have to purchase a dedicated IP address to use an SSL certificate on our system. If you have a special e-commerce application, commercial SSL certificates are available starting at $99/year.
